The Café Silencio project was initiated by David Leahy and Lazer Lederhendler. |
Café Silencio has five major aims:
- To build a neighbourhood café whose goals are not only gastronomic but also artistic, cultural and social
- To serve tasty, affordable, and high quality food and drink
- To apply a “green & fair-trade” policy
- To create a décor and an atmosphere that are friendly, stimulating and fun
- To develop a diverse artistic and community program based on an egalitarian and imaginative vision of culture and society
